Suzuki Across - plug-in hybrid SUV available in autumn

The Japanese manufacturer of cars and motorcycles is making a name for itself these weeks with a brand new model. What is meant is the plug-in hybrid SUV model Across, which was only presented a few weeks ago at the end of July. The dealers are now accepting orders and delivering the Across promptly.

  • The Otto hybrid vehicle is a joint production of Suzuki + Toyota.
  • With its dimensions 4.635 x 1.855 x 1.690 m, the Across is by far the largest model from Suzuki in Europe.
  • The drive is provided by the combination of an electric motor with 134 kW / 182 PS on the front axle + 2.5-liter petrol engine with 136 kW / 186 PS.
  • A second electric motor on the rear axle provides all-wheel drive with an output of 40 kW / 54 PS.
  • The 18 kWh battery ensures a range of almost 80 km.
  • The trunk volume ranges from 490 to 1,600 L.
  • As an interior, Suzuki promises an ambience in the higher segment with generous space in both rows of seats.
  • The curb weight is just under 2,000 kg.
  • The top speed is limited to 180 km / h, and the Across accelerates to 100 km / h in six seconds.

With the subsidy plus the VAT savings until the end of this year, the Suzuki Across will be cheaper by a medium to higher four-digit amount.

With the spiral ring made of a high-strength special aluminum, the entire vehicle or optionally the front or rear axle can be raised. Four staggered variants between 12 and 48 mm are possible. On top, a further three mm are possible if a rubber profile is drawn into the lower groove of the SPACCER®; this is optional. The SPACCER® is specially made for the spring of every single Across based on the chassis number. That means an accuracy of fit of 100 percent.
