The Tesla Model Y brings the future to the streets

Tesla boss Elon Musk recently announced that fully automatic driving with Level 5 should be available as early as the end of 2020. Level 5 is when the car copes with all traffic situations independently and the passengers are not liable for traffic violations or damage during the autonomous journey, theoretically a journey completely without passengers would be conceivable. In Germany there is still no legal framework for autonomous vehicles. It's actually a shame, because spectacular functions would bring the future to the streets today. For example, drivers can have their car approach them automatically from the parking lot. "Harry, pull up the car!" was yesterday.

The Tesla Model Y could soon have such a system, and the manufacturer plans to retrofit it. The Model Y is an SUV as an electric car with an extra interior. Compared to its predecessor, the model from 2020 is six centimeters longer, seven centimeters wider and 18 centimeters higher. According to the manufacturer, the trunk has a volume of 1,900 liters with the seats folded down. The maximum speed is impressively high at 241 km / h, especially for an electric vehicle. For many drivers, however, the range is more decisive. With the long range version of this model, Tesla drivers can travel 500 kilometers according to WLTP estimates, but then have to make a few compromises when it comes to top speed. Accelerating from zero to one hundred in 3.7 seconds literally leaves even a lot of conventional cars behind. Two separate electric motors operate the all-wheel drive and thus ensure good traction and steering stability.

As always, Tesla's design looks quite impressive. If you don't want to be satisfied with that, you can use special systems to adjust the height of the vehicle. The provider SPACCER, for example, makes raising the body very easy with TÜV-certified special rings. Customers receive assembly instructions for this and can either install the rings made of special aluminum themselves or hire their car mechanic. Customers can choose between 12 mm, 24 mm, 36 mm and 48 mm - the higher, the greater the visual difference.

Aside from the different look of the vehicle due to the elevation, customers also benefit from more legroom, better performance with a full load and more driving fun thanks to an overall smoother driving behavior. By the way: SPACCER manufactures each ring specifically for your chassis number, so that an exact fit is guaranteed.
