In the 1960s Alpina worked as a tuning specialist for BMW vehicles. Since 1983 the resident of Bucheloe im Allgäu company Alpina Burkhard Bovensiepen is registered as an automobile manufacturer. The successes in racing have made the company famous worldwide. Annually left the factory about 1,500 vehicles. As a base served BMW vehicles that are modified, upgraded or refurbished. Besides in Germany the vehicles are sold in Britain, Japan and the Middle East. Current models are the Alpina D3 Biturbo, B3 GT3, D5 Biturbo, and the B5, B6, B7 Biturbo. SPACCER can be used in all Alpina models to improve wheel clearance and a sporty off-road look.
