Carbodies
The company was founded in 1919 by the Briton Robert Jones in Coventry and has mainly produced body parts and taxis. During World War II the production was switched to military vehicles and aircraft parts. After the war the company produced Taxi bodies for Austin and built bodies for Ford for convertibles and made prototypes for other manufacturers. The hood of the Jaguar E-Type is from Carbo. 1954 Jones sold the company to a company now called London Taxis International. SPACCER is suitable for all Carbo vehicles such as the Ford Consul and Zephyr and provides improved ease of entry.
