With the idea to produce a vehicle below the VW Polo, Nicolas G. Hayek founded the automobile factory Smart GmbH in 1994. Smart is managed in Böblingen, produced in Hambach (France). Built was the convertible Fortwo, the four-seater Forfour and Roadster Forfun. Currently only the Fortwo is built. Although Daimler Benz took over the company, the financial situation is tense. 2008 were tested with electric drive in London first Smart. SPACCER is suitable for installation in all Smart models and where it leads to an improved initial comfort or a sporty off-road look.
